A retired two-star Air Force general was acquitted today of six counts of embezzling from a secret $450,000 military spy fund he managed in Swiss bank accounts.

The jury deliberated two hours and 20 minutes before reaching its verdict clearing retired Maj. Gen. Richard B. Collins, 55, once an aide to former Secretary of State Alexander M. Haig. Collins had been accused of taking $19,000 from the secret fund from 1975 until his 1978 retirement, when the account was closed.
