A former employee at MacLaren Children’s Center, the county’s home for neglected and abused children, has been ordered to stand trial on charges of molesting, raping and exposing himself to teen-age girls living at the center. Shriff Rasheed could face up to 30 years if convicted on all nine counts, which also include a charge of giving marijuana to children in county custody. He was ordered Friday to stand trial by Los Angeles Municipal Judge Rand Shrader after a preliminary hearing.
