Parents Jewish, He’s Not--Klansman
BRISTOL, Va. — A man who was installed last week as Virginia Grand Dragon of the Christian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan says a news story about his Jewish heritage may force him to resign his post.
Jordan N. Gollub, 26, said Monday that “I was never Jewish, my parents are Jewish. I have never had any Jewish religious background.
“My parents are Zionists but they don’t actually attend any religious services of any sort,” he said. “I don’t particularly care for (Judaism). I don’t see how it passes off as a religion.”
In a letter to Virgil L. Griffin, Imperial Wizard of the Christian Knights, which was dated Monday, Gollub offered to resign at his request “in order to avoid further embarrassment to the Christian Knights of the KKK.”
