Laguna Hills Football Coach Resigns to Become Dean of Students at El Toro
Ed Adams, football coach at Laguna Hills High School for the past three seasons, has resigned to become the Dean of Students at El Toro, it was announced Tuesday.
Adams’ resignation comes less than two weeks before Laguna Hills begins practice for this season. Ken Anderson, assistant superintendent of schools for the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, said he is accepting applications for a replacement for Adams and is hoping to conclude interviewing by next Tuesday. The opening includes a teaching position.
Adams, an El Toro resident, had a 12-19 record during his tenure at Laguna Hills. He served nine seasons as a defensive line coach at Mission Viejo before replacing Chuck Gallo as the Hawks’ coach before the 1983 season.
