First Frustaci Baby Goes Home
Squinting into the sun and a bank of cameras, the first-born Frustaci septuplet left Childrens Hospital of Orange County today, 108 days after her birth. Accompanied by her parents and 1 1/2-year-old brother, Patricia Ann Frustaci headed for the family’s home in Riverside.
“She looks great, doesn’t she?” asked the mother, Patricia, as she carried her daughter out of the hospital. Born at 1 pound, 11 ounces, the infant now weighs 5 pounds, 2 1/2 ounces and is at the development level of a 2-week-old full-term baby, doctors said. Still in the hospital are the two surviving male septuplets, who could be discharged in one to four weeks.
