San Clemente : Tentative Tract Map Approved for Project
The City Council has approved a tentative tract map for an 86-unit residential development slated for construction in the city’s massive Rancho San Clemente project in a rugged, back-country area off Avenida Pico.
Because streets within the development will not be public thoroughfares, city approval of the project required that the developer grant San Clemente police and fire units permanent access to the project, said Steve Haubert, associate city planner.
The developer, Long Beach-based Epac San Clemente Inc., plans to submit a final tract map for council approval in about 45 days. Rick Doremus, the firm’s president, said that construction could begin by January and completion is planned for next June.
