Surplus Cheese Offered: Low-income Brea residents are eligible for government surplus cheese, butter and rice at a special giveaway Tuesday. The food supplies will be distributed at 10 a.m. at Pioneer Hall, Elm and Madrona streets, according to officials from the Brea Community Emergency Council. According to council guidelines, a family of four with an income under $15,975 qualifies. Families already receiving food stamps are eligible for the cheese and butter, officials said.
