Springsteen Opener Delayed
Weather problems in Denver forced rock singer Bruce Springsteen to cancel his scheduled Thursday night opening concert at the Los Angeles Coliseum, but tickets will be good on the night of Oct. 2, Coliseum officials announced Monday.
“The opening show becomes the last show, that’s all,” said Coliseum public relations director Glen Mon. “All the other nights of the series--Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday--will be played on the nights they were scheduled.

In Tuesday editions, The Times incorrectly stated the nights on which rock singer Bruce Springsteen will appear at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Springsteen is scheduled to appear on Friday, Sept. 27; Sunday, Sept. 29; Monday, Sept. 30, and Wednesday, Oct. 2.
“But we’ve added a Wednesday night, Oct. 2, show on the end. And that’s the night the tickets marked Sept. 26 will be honored.”
The change was necessary, Mon explained, because rain and hail forced Springsteen to cancel the first of two concerts at Denver’s Mile High Stadium on Sunday night. That concert was rescheduled for Tuesday, and Mon said that left no time to get the people and equipment back to Los Angeles for the Thursday opening.
