China Ends Sex-Class Taboo

PEKING — Breaking with a decades-old taboo, China has launched its first regular sex-education classes in secondary schools to help teen-agers tackle “puberty problems,” the China Daily newspaper reported today.
More than 40 secondary schools in the bustling port city of Shanghai started pilot sex-education programs this month to “educate adolescents about physiological and psychological changes in the bodies and minds,” the newspaper said.
