The last of nine suspects charged in Tulane University’s point-shaving scandal pleaded innocent and was scheduled to stand trial Nov. 12 with basketball player David Dominique.
Ken Turkel is one of four non-athlete students charged in the conspiracy to shave points in two Metro Conference games in February.
Turkel, 20, of Tampa, Fla., is accused of conspiring to commit sports bribery by helping persuade basketball players to shave points in return for cocaine and a share of the students’ lucrative gambling winnings.
