Orange : Last Frustaci Baby Is Going Home Today
The third and last surviving Frustaci septuplet will go home to Riverside today, 4 1/2 months after the seven babies’ historic birth, a spokesman for Childrens Hospital of Orange County said.
Stephen Earl Frustaci will join Patricia Ann, who went home Sept. 6, and Richard Charles, who followed 13 days later.
The three girls and four boys were born 12 weeks prematurely to parents Patti and Sam Frustaci on May 21. One baby was stillborn and three others died shortly after birth from lung disease.
Like his brother and sister, Stephen Earl will be attached to a monitor at home to alert his parents if there is a sudden stop in breathing that is common among premature infants, the hospital spokesman said.
