Fluor Subsidiary Wins $10 Million Contract
Irvine-based Fluor Corp. said its Daniel International Corp. subsidiary won a $10 million contract from Maryland Cup Corp., a division of Fort Howard Paper Co., of Green Bay, Wisconsin. The contract to perform construction management for expansion at Maryland Cup’s Atlanta facility is the third such pact Maryland Cup has awarded Daniel in a year. It brings the total value of Maryland Cup’s business with the Greenville, S.C.-based Fluor subsidiary to about $80 million this year. The two earlier contracts include a $30 million project for manufacturing expansion at a Maryland Cup facility in Dallas and a $40 million plant expansion project in Baltimore. Fluor officials said work under the latest contract will begin this month and is scheduled for completion in April 1987.
