Steven Dull, 31, who caused an accident that brought paramedic Roger Bandy to the scene of his daughter’s death, has been convicted of second-degree murder for his role in the 1984 incident. Police said Dull was drunk and fleeing from another collision when he ran a red light and hit a sports car, killing Sherry Bandy, 20, and her fiance, Art Dorado, 23. Roger Bandy and his partner were first to arrive at the accident in San Pedro. He immediately recognized his daughter’s crumpled car. The 17-year veteran of the Los Angeles Fire Department said he has been unable to work since the accident.
