Water Polo Roundup : Campbell Scores Six Goals as UCI Downs Santa Barbara
The UC Irvine men’s water polo team defeated UC Santa Barbara, 10-9, in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. match at Heritage Park in Irvine Saturday.
Jeff Campbell, a Costa Mesa High School graduate, led the Anteaters with six goals as UCI improved to 5-1 in conference and 11-5 overall. UC Santa Barbara fell to 5-2 and 15-4.
UCI hosts UCLA today at noon at Heritage Park.
In other action:
Chaminade 12, Chapman College 10--The visitors from Hawaii defeated the Panthers in a nonconference match at Orange High School Saturday.
Matt Crockett led Chaminade, which was ahead 8-5 at the half, with four goals, and Carter Faber scored three goals for the Panthers. Chapman College plays USC’s junior varsity at USC Friday.
