With Moorpark up 6-0 in the first quarter, Karl Affholter tripped at the Musketeers’ one-yard line on a fourth and goal, failing to get into the end zone to tie the score. . . . Oak Park’s Steve Frane fumbled a punt at his 11, and the ball was recovered by Moorpark’s Tim Rothanzl. On Moorpark’s next play, Willie Guitierrez scored to give the Musketeers a 12-0 lead with 11:16 to play in the first half. . . . On Moorpark’s second play of the game, quarterback Tim Rothanzl ran 53 yards to score, giving the Musketeers their early 6-0 lead.
KEY PLAYERS
Quarterback Tim Rothanzl (M) carried 13 times for 83 yards and scored two touchdowns. He was 3 of 7 for 47 yards and no interceptions. Rothanzl also played safety and intercepted a pass at his 40 and recovered a fumble on a punt that set up Moorpark’s second touchdown. Willie Guitierrez (M) carried 15 times for 73 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Chris Hall (OP) was 15 of 23 for 136 yards and two interceptions.
