Soccer Roundup : Las Vegas Beats Fullerton, 1-0, in PCAA Match

Gavin Spaulding scored the game’s only goal at the 44-minute mark of the first half as Nevada Las Vegas defeated Cal State Fullerton, 1-0, in Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. soccer action at Fullerton.

The No. 8 Rebels improved their PCAA record to 5-0, 13-0-2. The Titans are 3-1-1 and 8-6-1.

In other PCAA action:

UC Irvine 7, Pacific 0--Mark Stier, Ken Gunn and Kevin Peterson scored two goals each to lead the Anteaters (2-4, 4-11-2) to the victory at Irvine.

The seven goals tied the school record, which was set last season in a 7-0 win over Cal Lutheran. Cameron Beaulac had three assists.

UCI faces No. 5 UCLA in a nonconference match at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Irvine.
