Boy Scouts and Belief in God
Cal Thomas irresponsibly exaggerates the extent to which the Boy Scouts of America was ever an agency of the Divine; and his willing it so does not make it so.
As a spokesman for Jerry Falwell & Co., Thomas should be the first to know that the mysteries of faith and the character of God’s Spirit are necessarily profaned when they are pressed into the service of a secular and patriotic corporation with aspirations to a national following.
The Boy Scouts of America--by revising their handbook--have recognized this fact. When will the Moral Majority?
