AirCal has named William D. Slattery to serve as senior vice president for marketing. He replaces David A. Banmiller, who was appointed president and chief operating officer of the Newport Beach-based airline.
Slattery, 42, served a year as president of the new Braniff Airlines in 1983 and 1984 and was a private consultant before his appointment. He was also with TWA for 16 years in several senior management positions, including vice president of the airline’s international division.
At AirCal, he will be responsible for all marketing functions, including reservations, passenger and cargo sales, schedules and charters, advertising, sales promotion and pricing.
