A man armed with a shotgun sprayed a real estate office in Roseville with gunfire, killing one employee and wounding another before surrendering to police. Larry LaPoint, 41, said as he was taken away by officers that he had waged a long battle with the company over repairs at a house he purchased through the firm. “They wouldn’t fix it,” he said. “We’ve been fighting for over a year. . . .” Police said LaPoint first shot through a window at the offices of Coker-Ewing, then entered and opened fire again as about a dozen employees took cover. One man was killed and another was wounded in the foot. LaPoint was booked for investigation of murder.
