California Lutheran to Become a University
The governing body of California Lutheran College has decided to change the institution’s name to California Lutheran University, effective Jan. 1, according to President Jerry. H. Miller.
The name change, which was debated for about three years, is meant to convey the breadth of the Thousand Oaks institution’s activities and academic offerings, Miller said. The change will also reflect the school’s commitment to graduate and continuing education and research, he said.
