Pride Air Suspends All Flights
Associated Press
NEW ORLEANS — Pride Air has suspended its flights for at least five days because of a cash crunch, company officials said. The announcement came Friday night, less than a day after the airline said that it had secured additional cash from investors. Officials said they hoped to resume service by Thursday.
Since the airline began service Aug. 1, five routes have been dropped, a $10-million stock offering was scrapped and 122 employees have been laid off.
