Fraternity Party Rape Charged
SAN DIEGO — The alleged rape of an 18-year-old sorority member in a fraternity house on the San Diego State University campus has led to the suspension of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, university officials said today.
The incident allegedly took place in a private room at the fraternity house between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. last Friday during a party involving the woman’s sorority, Delta Gamma, and Pi Kappa Alpha. Criminal charges have been filed against a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and the university is investigating the incident and will decide whether to further discipline the fraternity or any students.
