T.J. Kelly Sr.; Head of Center for Disabled
Thompson J. Kelly Sr., executive director of the North Los Angeles County Regional Center, which provides the disabled and their families with a wide range of services, is dead. He was 49 and died Nov. 20. A spokesman for the center, which provides care for more than 4,600 families in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys, said he died after “a lengthy illness.”
Kelly was 48 and held degrees in education and psychology. He came to the Panorama-based facility in 1976 and worked closely with state legislators forging legislation for handicapped children and their families.
He is survived by his wife, Madeleine; a son, T. J.; a brother, and his parents.
