Nihilator Ends Career With Win, $3,225,754

CHERRY HILL, N.J. — Champion pacer Nihilator ended his brilliant racing career with a 2 3/4-length victory in the Breeders Crown 3-year-old colts race Friday night at Garden State Park.
With the victory, worth $282,527, Nihilator became the first standardbred to crack the $3-million mark in earnings, totaling $3,225,754.
Nihilator lost only three times in his 35 career races spanning two seasons.
Syndicated last winter for $19.2 million, he will stand at stud next year at the Almahurst Farm in Lexington, Ky.
