Quebec Premier Sworn In

QUEBEC — Liberal Party leader Robert Bourassa, returning to power after nine years, was sworn in Thursday as premier of the province of Quebec. Bourassa, now 52, became Quebec’s youngest premier in 1970 and served until the Parti Quebecois won the 1976 election. In one of the great political comebacks in Quebec politics, Bourassa’s Liberals won 99 of the 122 legislative seats in elections Dec. 2, and the incumbent Parti Quebecois won the rest.
