Countywide : Board Names Member of Relations Panel
Audrey Yamagata-Noji( has been appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors to serve a two-year term as an at-large member of the county’s Human Relations Commission.
As an at-large member, Yamagata-Noji, a Santa Ana resident, does not represent a particular supervisorial district. She was appointed by all five supervisors.
The commission is composed of an 11-member volunteer panel organized in 1971 to resolve disputes involving prejudice, discrimination and infringements on the human rights of residents in the county.
Yamagata-Noji is director of Extended Opportunity Programs and Services at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo. At Saddleback College, she also serves as the sponsor of the Japanese Club, the Vietnamese Student Assn. and a Mexican-American student organization.
