Newport Christian Defeats Liberty
The Newport Christian High School boys’ basketball team defeated Liberty, 47-37, Thursday in Academy League play at Newport. Wayne Everett scored 18 points for the Conquerors (2-3 in league play and 3-11 overall).
In a Collegiate League game, St. Margaret of San Juan Capistrano beat California School for the Deaf, 51-43, at Riverside. St. Margaret’s Eric Flather scored 16 points.
