San Jose State 48, Fresno State 45--Ricky Berry scored 12 of his game-high 16 points in the final eight minutes, and the Spartans turned back the Bulldogs at San Jose.
Berry scored seven straight points to give the Spartans a 35-34 lead with 6:13 remaining in the game. His basket with 3:42 left put San Jose (12-6, 5-4) ahead for good, 42-40, and guard Ontario Johnson hit three free throws in the final minute to seal the victory.
Marvin Carter scored 13 points for the Bulldogs (11-8, 4-4).
Pacific 61, Utah State 60--Sophomore forward Domingo Rosario scored a season-high 22 points and dunked the winning basket with 38 seconds left to play to give the Tigers a victory over the Aggies at Stockton.
Following Rosario’s dunk, Greg Grant scored to pull the Aggies (6-9, 2-5) to within 61-60. A desperation shot by Utah State’s Bill Floyd of Utah State fell short with one second left.
Drew Rodgers had 15 points and 14 rebounds for Pacific (10-10, 3-5).
