Azusa : Scout Hall to Be Renovated
The city, which has taken over administration of Azusa’s Boy Scout Hall, will begin renovation of the building this month. The Boy Scout Hall was built by volunteers 25 years ago on city-owned property at 1320 Old San Gabriel Canyon Road. When restored, the hall will serve as an emergency services facility, housing communication equipment and supplies for disasters. The city will add classrooms, refurbish the kitchen and continue to use the facility as a home for Boy Scout groups and amateur radio clubs. A ground-breaking ceremony is set for Feb. 24.
