Garden Grove : Motorcyclist Killed in Crash; Passenger Hurt
A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger injured late Wednesday after the cycle collided broadside with an automobile in the 13300 block of Brookhurst Avenue, police said.
Jeffrey R. Vorndran, 25, of Garden Grove was pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center, Sgt. Dale Farley said. The passenger, James T. Dakis, 24, of Anaheim, was taken to Garden Grove Medical Center, where he was treated for a broken ankle, cuts and abrasions, Farley said.
Vorndran’s motorcycle was southbound on Brookhurst shortly before 10 p.m. when it collided with an automobile that was crossing Brookhurst after pulling out of a restaurant parking lot, police said. The driver of the car was not issued a citation, but the accident remains under investigation, police said.
