Ducommun Inc., a Los Angeles electronics distributor, said it has paid $3 million for Tri-Tec Engineering Corp. of Gardena, a manufacturer of devices to connect computers with printers and other equipment. Tri-Tec becomes Ducommun’s fifth wholly owned subsidiary and will be managed by Ducommon Electronics Group, headquartered in Cypress. Tri-Tec President Max Van Orden and Chief Operating Officer John Sherry will stay on with the company.
