Derwin Appleberry scored a game-high 32 points Monday night but it wasn’t enough to prevent Christ College of Irvine from losing to St. Mary’s College of Michigan, 76-69, in the first round of the National Little College Athletic Assn. tournament at Bristol, Tenn.
