West Germany Beats Brazil, 2-0, in Soccer

FRANKFURT, West Germany — West Germany defeated Brazil, 2-0, in a World Cup tuneup soccer match before 50,000 fans Wednesday.
Hans-Peter Briegel gave West Germany an early lead, heading in a goal in the second minute. Klaus Allofs added the insurance two minutes from the end in West Germany’s second win ever against Brazil. The other win was in 1968.
West Germany played without four key players, who were injured. Brazil was without injured Zico and Leandro but had 1982 World Cup stars Falcao, Socrates and Oscar.
