Norwalk City Hall Veteran Leaving to Become Selma, Calif., Manager
NORWALK — Assistant City Administrator Charles Rough is resigning Friday to become city manager of Selma in Fresno County.
Rough, 36, worked at City Hall for eight years, beginning in 1978 as an administrative intern in the Public Works Department. He also served as assistant director of public works, cable TV administrator and assistant to the city administrator.
“Selma is an excellent management opportunity,” Rough said. “It’s a full-service city of 13,000 people with its own police and fire departments, and it started its own redevelopment agency two years ago.”
In departing, Rough said, “Norwalk is a great city with a great future and I’m glad to have been a part of it.”
