Associated Press
COURTENAY, France — Ninety-three vehicles piled up in a massive chain-reaction collision Saturday, killing five people and injuring 67, police said.
Officials said traffic had been moving at high speed despite dense fog that reduced visibility to 50 yards.
Seventeen people were listed in serious condition at local hospitals after the crash on Autoroute A-6, about 110 miles south of Paris.
