Datum Inc. said it has received new orders from the U.S. Navy for timing devices used in shipboard anti-submarine warfare systems. According to officials of the Anaheim-based company, the contract calls for the Navy to purchase 34 of the devices this year with an option to purchase another 34 next year. If all 68 units are purchased, the contract will have a total value of more than $2 million, the company said.
