Softball Roundup : Fullerton Earns Split With 1-0 Win
Terry Oberg hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning, driving in Charis Monroe for the only run as Cal State Fullerton won the second game of a doubleheader, 1-0, to earn a split against Cal State Long Beach, Tuesday night in Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. softball action at Fullerton.
Connie Clark (13-1) pitched a one-hitter for the No. 1-ranked Titans (6-2, 31-5). The 49ers (4-2, 19-8) won the first game, 1-0.
In other softball action:
Rancho Santiago 5, Moorpark 4--Freshman first baseman Sandy Martinez set a school single-season record, stealing her 13th base to lead Rancho Santiago College.
Kymm Foster set the record with 12 in 1980.
The Dons made a season-high four errors, including two in the seventh inning and Moorpark had the tying run on third with one out. Kim Martin (12-1) pitched five innings to get the win.
