Silent Partners
How can we ever stop the crime of drug trafficking when our largest banks and our federal government are accessories and silent partners?
I read that the Bank of New England was fined $1.24 million for violating federal currency reporting laws. We all know that it means they “laundered” illegal criminal profits. Probably the bank made a profit of $10 million, so it was easy to give $1.24 million to its partner, the U.S. of A. and still keep a tidy profit.
If we really want to stop the drug traffic, make money-laundering a crime, and put a few of those bank officers in jail. All we do now is slap them on the wrist and make them share the illegal profits.
