Nuclear Test Set for Tuesday
From Reuters
WASHINGTON — The United States announced today that another nuclear test--its third this year and the 10th since the Soviet Union declared a unilateral test moratorium last July--will take place beneath the Nevada desert at 6:30 a.m. PST on Tuesday.
A brief statement from the Department of Energy said the blast will have a yield of between 20 and 150 kilotons. It advised people in surrounding areas that they may experience slight earth tremors and cautioned owners of skyscrapers in nearby Las Vegas to avoid high-up external work.
