The Region : Missing Woman’s Body Believed Found
A body believed to be that of a missing Brea woman was found in the back seat of the woman’s car in Fullerton. A patrol officer spotted the Cadillac in a dirt field behind an apartment house, Fullerton Police Lt. Larry Foisey said. Foisey said the body, which had been covered by a blanket, may be that of Marie Andrea Malmgreen, 38, who disappeared April 22 after dropping her children off at school. “In all probability it is her,” he said. Authorities at the Orange County crime lab in Santa Ana were inspecting the car. The missing woman’s husband, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Russell Malmgreen, formerly of the department’s anti-terrorist division, was recently named an aide to Chief Daryl F. Gates. Police said there was no indication that the woman’s disappearance was related to her husband’s work. She was described by friends and relatives as cheerful, outgoing and completely devoted to her family.
