A new task force has been assigned to begin a new the search for a downtown San Francisco stadium site to house the Giants.

The Board of Supervisors voted, 7-1, to form the new 11-member group. Each of the 11 supervisors had one appointment to the task force, which will hold public meetings and make progress reports to the board.
