Local News in Brief : Burbank Teachers Will Resume Contract Talks
Burbank teachers and school district officials are returning to the bargaining table today to discuss their 10-month contract dispute, but both sides are sitting down without their attorneys.
Burbank Teachers Assn. President Maureen Doyle said the association and the district representatives agreed to talk about resolving the dispute after informal discussions last week. “We got a lot done, and we both thought it might be better if we try to work it out without lawyers,” she said.
The dispute had previously been submitted to a fact-finding panel.
At issue are salary increases for the final year of a three-year contract.
