Texas A&M-LSU; Football Opener Switched
BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana State University and Texas A&M; have switched their season-opening football game here from Sept. 6 to Sept. 13 so it can be televised live nationally that evening by ESPN.
Sept. 13 was an open date for LSU and became one for Texas A&M; when the Aggies’ season-opening opponent, North Texas State University, agreed to move its Sept. 13 game against Texas A&M; to Sept. 20.
This will be LSU’s first appearance on ESPN since its 10-0 victory last season against Kentucky, while ESPN televised six of Texas A&M;’s last 13 regular season games, the news release said.
