An organization that represents 6,500 law enforcement officers in the state has unanimously endorsed Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley for governor. Al Angele, spokesman for the California Organization of Police and Sheriffs, said the group supports Bradley because Gov. George Deukmejian has opposed measures that affected hours, wages and working conditions for rank-and-file officers. Bradley, a Los Angeles police officer before entering politics, said he was “proud” to receive the endorsement.
