7 Climbers Fall on Swiss Peak, 1 Killed

BOURG-ST-PIERRE, Switzerland — A Belgian was killed and two Frenchmen were seriously injured when seven climbers fell 650 feet on the Grand-Combin mountain in southwest Switzerland on Sunday, police said.
The climbers were roped together in two separate groups and were just beneath the peak of the 13,000-foot Grand-Combin when one slipped. He pulled his group with him, and they crashed into the climbers below them.
