COMMENCEMENT 1986 : Western State University College of Law
Western State University College of Law held its commencement Friday evening in a traditional ceremony on the lawn of the Performing Arts complex at Cal State Fullerton.
Degrees: 300 juris doctor degrees were awarded.
Speakers: Prof. Arthur Miller of Harvard Law School, legal editor of “Good Morning America” and host of the television show “Miller’s Court,” delivered the graduation address.
Honorary Degrees:
Prof. Arthur Miller, “a well respected law educator in this country,” doctor of laws.
Robert G. Woolf, “(an) innovator in sports and entertainment law,” doctor of laws.
Henry T. Segerstrom, chairman of trustees of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, doctor of laws.
Thomas H. Nielsen, president of Irvine Co. and “friend of Orange County higher education,” doctor of laws.
