Inference, a Los Angeles developer and supplier of artificial intelligence technology, said Donald H. Putnam Jr. will join the company Tuesday in the new positions of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Putnam, who currently is executive vice president of SEI Corp. in Wayne, Pa., will also become a director of Inference. The company also promoted co-founder Chuck Williams to the new position of executive vice president and chief technical officer. Williams and Putnam will report to co-founder Alexander D. Jacobson.
