Anaheim : $382.8-Million Budget Is ‘Big Business’ for City
Anaheim is “big business,” City Manager William O. Talley told a meeting of community leaders last week. An example: just look at the budget, he said.
Last week, the City Council approved a $382.8-million budget for the 1986-87 fiscal year. The numbers represent a 1.5% increase over last year.
Among the changes Anaheim residents will see next year will be increases in Police and Fire Department personnel--9 and 13 more employees, respectively.
The 4-1 vote (with Councilman Ben Bay abstaining) came after a month-long series of public hearings.
