Acton Man Finds Missing Brother’s Body
A 36-year-old Acton man who died when his car rolled down a 50-foot embankment north of Saugus was found Sunday by his brother, who searched for the victim after becoming concerned that he had not returned home, the California Highway Patrol said.
Gilbert Alvin Rashkin was driving north on the Antelope Valley Freeway about 1 1/2 miles north of Escondido Canyon Road when his car rolled off the roadway and he was thrown into a wooden fence post, CHP Officer Alex Gonzalez said.
Investigators are trying to determine the time and cause of the crash, Gonzalez said.
The victim’s brother, Lewis Rashkin, reported finding the wreckage at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday after tracing the victim’s usual route home, the officer said.
