West Coast ‘Statue of Liberty’
Mayor Bradley has suggested that we erect a monument on the West Coast similar to the Statue of Liberty, as a further tribute to America’s immigrants. In that same spirit, perhaps we might instead refurbish the fence on our southern border through which millions have illegally passed.
Like the Statue of Liberty, it too has fallen to disrepair and is a disgrace to the memory of all the Americans past and present who endured months of anguish and suspense waiting to enter this country legally.
